Module 8 Managing Healthy Home Routines and Having Fun in the Community

Mothers and Families

Managing motherhood and all of the responsibilities and tasks associated with family life takes skill, knowledge and perseverance. Beyond motherhood, many Australian women are also working, studying, or volunteering their time in the community or school for their child. Many women support other extended family members such as an aging parent, or assisting with the care of nieces or nephews.

Families are complex systems with different members, preferences for relating to each other and sharing time together, and unique family culture, routines, habits and environments. Only you will understand your family in all of its complexity. You know your family history, current everyday life and future aspirations or hopes.
