"Healthy Mothers Healthy Families, Health Promoting Activity Coaching for mothers of children with a disability: Exploring mothers' perspectives of programme feasibility"

This project explored the perspectives of mothers who received health promoting activity coaching based on the Healthy Mothers Healthy Families programme (HMHF-HPAC) from the Occupational therapist working with their child. Vanessa conducted interviews with the mothers and analysed the data. Four key themes captured mothers' experiences:

1) Recognising mothers
2) From Vulnerability to Empowerment
3) A goal for me
4) Perspectives on Content and Delivery.

The key findings were that mothers were satisifed receiving the HMHF-HPAC from their child's OT, mothers experienced improved participation in health-promoting activities and that maternal health promotion is crucial to the health and wellbeing of mothers and their children.
