Helen Johnson

Helen Johnson has worked in the disability sector for over 20 years and volunteered in the ‘Carer’ sector for decades.

Helen, her husband Peter and their 2 sons, Jayden and Ben, live in regional Victoria. Their youngest son Ben, now an adult was born with an extremely rare syndrome causing multiple, severe and profound disabilities.

After attending a HMHF workshop, as a participant, she had a ‘light-bulb’ moment and believed her thinking for her own self-care truly changed.

She continually strives to bring positive and healthy changes into her own daily lifestyle, however admits it is not easy but appreciates the importance to continually consider her own health and lifestyle.

Helen looks forward to sharing important health information to all Mothers caring for their child or children with a disability.
