Jenny is a mum of 2 boys – Chris and Nick. Chris has a disability but does not allow this to define who he is as a person. He lives independently and is an active member of his community.
Jenny is the education co-ordinator and a community educator for the Association for Children with a Disability ACD). She previously worked as a parent advisor at ACD providing information and support to parents and carers of children with a disability.
Jenny has been working in the disability sector for over 20 years. She is a passionate promoter of the benefits of peer support, the value of information sharing and the importance of taking time for yourself to ensure the maintenance of mental and physical health to parents and carers.
